The XV World Swimming Championship took place in Barcelona in the summer of 2013, under the organisation of the International Swimming Federation (FINA) and the Real Federación Española de Natación (RFEN). The events took place in Palau Sant Jordi, the Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc, the Port Vell and the Bernat Picornell swimming pools.
Sundisa was chosen as responsible for the application of the whole look project and the setting up of the main headquarters, the Palau Sant Jordi, and some other spaces like newsrooms, airport, hotels, credentials, etc., apart from the outdoor advertising (banners and opis) and the static advertising in every headquarter.
From the prospecting and the adaption of the look to real spaces, to the installation of all the elements. We printed on waterproof fabrics for the covering of the swimming pools, we made photocalls and the big backdrop of the main stage. We covered the grandstands and applied vinyl lettering, submerged vinyls, and supplied outdoor towers and flags. We printed on rigid materials such as forex or light panel, and we installed large scale hanging wraps through work at heights.
In three weeks, the spaces were ready for the opening.
